The Allen Stitchdown - Dark Olive Waxed Rough-out (618)
Boot and Leather
This is our development of a stitchdown build crafted alongside the classic Allen pattern. The upper leather used in this style is the full grain Waxed Rough-out article from the Charles F. Stead tannery. This article was tanned to our specifications using both an oil base and a wax finish to allow ease of conditioning over time. This means that you can use either a wax or an oil, as opposed to one or the other, to take care of the leather over time. The nap is finished with wax on the surface.
The primary color in this upper leather is a very dark olive green. Since it is an olive-named color, you may see some subtle shades of brown as well depending on your light. Depending on the lighting and setting in which you have the boots, it will be common to see any of these colors and slight variations of them.
Our build focuses on enhanced breath-ability and shock absorption in a more natural way by using leather components. Additional build information along with cutaways can be found under our Craft + Build section.
